A facility in Saratoga Springs, NY is looking for a Cath Lab RN for their Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Suite.

REQUIREMENTS:

• NY State License
• AHA BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 5 years direct experience
• Travel experience preferred

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

Start date : 01/29/2024

13-week contract

40 hrs/week

5x8, Days, 9a-5:30p

• Call required, 8-10 days a month with 30 minute response time, 5p-7p, M-F
• Combination of heart cath, PCI, pacemaker and ICD implants.
• Occasional call required for STEMI protocols as assigned per facility
• Occasional floating to traditional interventional radiology suite to assist with peripheral vascular diagnostic intervention/procedures may be required
• Must be willing to float

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing assessment, monitoring and intervention for cardiac procedures, such as coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty and pericardiocentesis
• Administering oral and intravenous medication to patients
• Operating intra-aortic balloons, physiological recorders and printers for monitoring electrocardiogram data
• Managing patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
• Educating patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications and other postoperative information
• Managing paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results and procedure documentation
• Collaborating with other medical staff as needed
